Notice regarding the Santander UK plc guarantee

This notice is posted in response to questions regarding the Cater Allen deposit guarantee, provided by Santander UK plc, which recently changed its name from Abbey National plc.

The name change from Abbey National plc to Santander UK plc does not affect the existence or validity of the guarantee.  The legal entity and company number 2294747 remains the same and the guarantee also remains in place.

Specifically, the guarantee issued in the name of Abbey National plc on 29^th January 2008 remains valid until renewal at 31^st July 2012.  The guarantee will reflect the new company name on renewal.
