Summary of changes, including an update to our Terms and Conditions
Over the coming months a number of changes are taking place to the services we offer to our customers.
Background to the changes
We currently have a relationship with Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), which allows us to process all our payments through them. They also provide limited counter services for our customers. We are ending this relationship later in 2018, which will result in changes to the services we offer. We’ve outlined the changes in this letter to our customers, including the dates that they are effective from.
We are already in the process of moving our payments processing from RBS to Santander. This will enable us to provide you with a new personalised reference (Bank Identifier Code (BIC) and International Bank Account Number (IBAN)) for international payments, which you will receive in May 2018, and real-time faster payments by 2019. As a result of ending our relationship with RBS, we will no longer be able to offer counter services from 1 July 2018.
We’re also taking this opportunity to update our customers Data Protection Statement to take account of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please note that for all accounts opened between 19 March and 29 April 2018, you will need to read the updated Data Protection Statements below, as they will automatically apply to your account as of 30 April 2018.
What does this mean for you?
The changes impact the Cater Allen Personal and Non-Personal Terms and Conditions and the information on the Fact Sheet for accounts. Term Deposits are only affected by the GDPR changes. The new Terms and Conditions will be in effect from 1 July 2018 and will be available to view on this page on 1 May 2018. The current Terms and Conditions are effective until 30 June 2018.
