What is my Customer ID number and where can I find it?

Your customer ID is a unique 10-digit number which identifies your relationship with Cater Allen and is usually your login ID for Internet Banking, though you can set up your own username when you register.

You can find your Customer ID on your welcome letter.

You can request a copy of your welcome letter by calling us.

Internet browser compatibility

We recommend you use the latest version of the browsers listed below:

  • Internet Explorer browsers V.9 and higher
  • Mozilla Firefox V.80 and higher
  • Google Chrome V.8 and higher.

Our Internet Banking is compatible with tablet devices such as iPads and Android, as long as they are running either iOS version 10 or above (for iPads) or Android version 6 or above (for Android tablets). Although you will be able to access the site on older system versions, the screens may not display correctly.

It is compatible through both PC and Mac systems.

Our Internet Banking is not compatible on mobile devices with smaller screens, such as BlackBerrys.

One Time Passcodes (OTPs)

To increase your security online and help fight fraud, we use a One Time Passcode (OTP) to authorise particular transactions. Your OTP acts as a secure key to your account, helping to stop anyone but you authorising transactions or making changes to your account.

We send an OTP to the mobile phone registered to your account. Each OTP will be unique to the transaction you're making, and you will enter it in your Internet Banking or as part of an online card purchase, so that we know it's you.

Visit the One Time Passcode section in our Security Centre section of our website to find out more.
